Competition

For the attic conversions, great attention has been paid to the optimal lighting conditions. Pivoting the facades creates broad sightlines, and the arrangement of staggered floors and spacious terraces gives the structure a lightweight appearance.

General Design Themes

Street widths – When determining the possible volumes for loft conversions, the varying road widths as well as the lighting conditions of neighboring buildings were considered.

Sightlines – The apartments gain broad sight lines by selectively pivoting the facades.

Staggered floors – The arrangement of staggered floors gives the rooftop structure a lightweight appearance. In addition, this creates apartments that with fully-usable floor space over the entire area as well as spacious terraces.

Terraces – The terraces allow for residences with direct access to open spaces even in a densely developed urban area.

Access to excellent individual open spaces decreases the need to drive out of town for free time and makes an important contribution to reducing traffic congestion.
